Bite Sisters Is A Bite-Sized Drama Which Lacks Bite

Bite Sisters was a must watch for me with kick-ass ladies such as Kang Hanna, Kim Youngah, Choi Yoohwa being in the cast!

This week is weirdly dry when it comes to K-Pop releases so we are bombarding you with new reviews! I finally have the time to sit down and write this review about this short, yet very sweet web drama Bite Sisters! I definitely just watched this because I absolutely love Hanna and needed to see her finally take on a lead role. She has been saving dramas as a second lead left and right so let’s get this girl more leads! Bite Sisters‘ plot wasn’t as deep as I expected it to be. Where is the bite in Bite Sisters?! But more on that in a bit let’s get the formalities out of the way.

Summary via MDL: About Han Yi Na who is an 821-year-old vampire who can’t stand seeing injustice. When she unexpectedly becomes a trendsetting influencer with over a million followers, Han Yi Na uses her power to secretly help those in need.

Yeah, so I feel like the drama loses this plot quite quickly, especially towards the end of these short ten 10-minute episodes. Bite Sisters lacked the depth it deserved especially since the plot is actually quite interesting and could have done for a fun full length drama. I love those shows were cases or things are solved every episode but I think I have said this a couple of times before! So yeah length definitely killed the vibe here and left me very unsatisfied with the ending.

Which brings me to the the worst part, the end, if someone could explain it to me I’d appreciate it. Bite Sisters didn’t make a lot of sense to me and I could follow most of the plot but the end? I am truly and utterly lost. I mean I appreciate Lee Shin Young being his beautiful self and being the love interest but I didn’t quite understand the love story here. The flashbacks made sense but I have no clue how any of this connected to the present.

Again I think this was due to the drama’s length, which is a loss to be honest. Still Bite Sisters‘ acting was great and engaging. Han Yina is such a cool character I loved her. They really filled those 10 minutes wisely but could have done it a lot better. I want a longer season two, or a movie just to explain things because it’s been months since I finished this show and I still am lost and confused. Yeah so Bite Sisters could have profited from a lot more bite to it’s merit and plot…

Kang Hanna leading a full length drama next, please!

  1. This is one of my fav review titles of yours lol! How did I not guess that this is about vampires from it, I’m stupid. Love not getting the plot tbh.
